Full job description
- A Data Analyst Intern assists senior analysts by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to find trends and insights, creating visualizations (dashboards/reports) using tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI, supporting data-driven decisions, and collaborating with teams to improve data quality and efficiency, gaining hands-on experience in data mining and analytics. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gathering data from various sources, cleaning raw data, handling errors, and preprocessing for analysis.
- Analysis: Performing statistical analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies, and supporting data mining.
- Reporting & Visualization: Creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations (charts, graphs) to present findings.
- Collaboration: Working with data engineers, product teams, and other departments to understand needs and deliver insights.
- Tool Usage: Using SQL for querying, Python/R for analysis, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for dashboards.
- Automation: Assisting with automating data tasks and improving data quality processes.
- Key Skills & Qualifications: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is often preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools. Excellent communication and attention to detail.
